Pulse garlic chives in a food processor until very finely chopped. Add basil; pulse until finely chopped. Pour in olive oil; process until blended. Blend in garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

How to make Pea and Chive Pesto Pasta:
  1. Whack all the pesto ingredients in a food processor and blitz until emulsified. Add more or less oil and/or water to generate your preferred consistency.
  2. Slice bacon and tomatoes to preferred size and add to heated frying pan.
  3. Boil pasta to preferred texture (al dente or well done).
  4. When bacon/tomatoes and pasta are cooked, add pasta to frying pan, transferring some starchy water with it.
  5. Dollop in the pesto and mix through, adding more starchy water from pasta to achieve desired consistency.
  6. Serve. (Optional: Grate some hard cheese over once served.)
  7. Done and ready to serve!

Toss the chives, almonds, cheese, and garlic into the work bowl of your food processor. Pulse until all ingredients are finely-chopped. Then, with the machine running, add olive oil to desired consistency. With a stick blender or in a small food processor, blitz the basil, garlic, parmesan cheese and olive oil until combined, then add the peas and pine nuts. Blitz again until smooth and add extra olive oil if necessary.
