  27. Prepare 1/2 cup tomatoes thinly sliced
  28. Prepare 1/4 cup spring onion finely chopped
  29. Prepare 1/2 cup onion thinly sliced
  30. Take 1/2 cup cabbage thinly sliced
  31. Prepare 1/2 cup carrot thinly sliced
  32. Prepare 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  33. Prepare 1 tbsp olive oil
  34. Use 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  35. Take Salt as per taste
  36. Take 2 tsp vinegar
  37. Use Falafal
  38. Prepare 2 cup green moong Dal
  39. Prepare 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  40. Take 1 tsp green chilli chopped
  41. Take 1/4 cup onion chopped
  42. Prepare 1/4 tsp baking powder
  43. Prepare 1/2 tsp garlic chopped
  44. Prepare 1 tsp zatar spice mix(thyme, seasame seeds, salt)
  45. Prepare Salt as per taste
  46. Prepare Oil for frying
  47. Take 1 tbsp corn flour
  48. Prepare 1 tbsp rice flour

In my recipe, I used red lentils and replaced the traditional cooking method (frying) with baking. The falafel is a classic Middle Eastern food that's made of chickpeas, fresh herbs, spices, onion, and garlic, all ground up, formed into patties or balls, and usually deep-fried. Falafel can be enjoyed in many ways, such as atop a salad with hummus or tucked into a pita as a sandwich. A sandwich made with the crunchy patties, lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy tahini sauce, all piled into a soft.

Steps to make Falafal sandwich:
  1. For tahina paste: cook seasame seeds in pressure cooker with half cup of water. Make a fine paste with olive oil, salt and lemon juice.
  2. For tahina sauce:mix hung curd, mustard powder, green chilli sauce in a bowl. Add other ingredients, mix it and keep aside.
  3. For hummus: mix all ingredients in a mixture jar, and make smooth and soft paste.
  4. Add water kept from chick peas Peel to make smooth mixture.
  5. For falafal: soak Dal for 6 hours. Make a smooth and thick paste of Dal with chillies and garlic. transfer the paste in a bowl. Mix other remaining ingredients in it. Lastly add lemon juice and baking powder
  6. Mix well for better results. Deep fry like pakodas and keep aside.
  7. Salad: u can saute the salad ingredients. Keep aside. Serving: cut pita bread into half and slit it all. Slightly toast the bread on tawa with oil.
  8. Now it's a bread pocket. Apply, hummus, tahina sauce, insert falafal.
  9. Place little salad, and again sprinkle sauce. Now ur yummy sandwich is ready to eat.
  10. Done and ready to serve!

Prepare veggies washing, peeling, chopping and slicing. Place a skillet over medium heat. Set aside and repeat with remaining pitas, or however many pitas you're making. Use a fork to crush the falafel open over the sandwich. This allows the falafel to soak up all the flavors and toppings of the sandwich.
