Heat a large wok or pan. Add a bit of oil to the pan and cook chicken until it's golden brown. Good easy chow mein dish, takes a bit of prep work but the final result is delicious. I couldn't find "chow mein" noodles at the Asian grocery store or any of the substitutes like Hong Kong noodles, so I used a thin yellow wheat noodle labeled "Canton noodles" which apparently are a Philippine version of Chinese noodles.

  1. Begin cooking the noodles according to packet instructions. Heat up a wok over a high heat. Add in the oil.
  2. Once the oil is hot add in the sliced onions. Fry for a couple of minutes then add in the shredded chicken pieces and msg. Stir fry for a minute, add the teriyaki sauce. Stir together until coated and glistening.
  3. Drain off the noodles once cooked. Make sure no water is left, then add them into the wok along with the bean sprouts. Season with white pepper and add the light soy sauce. Toss everything together a few times. Turn out into a bowl and enjoy whilst hot! :)
  4. Done and ready to serve!

Cook chicken quickly in wok until cooked through. Add the sliced chicken, and toss to completely coat. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package directions, drain well, and set aside. Mix well and then pour at the end. Cook times vary depending on your stove top.
