  10. Use 1 cup thinly sliced onions
  11. Take 1 tsp worchestershire sauce
  12. Use Gravy
  13. Prepare 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  14. Take 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  15. Prepare 1 tbsp and a splash of cooking sherry
  16. Take 1 salt and pepper to taste

If needed, season with salt and black pepper. (I never need to) Scoot patties to one side and add onions to the skillet. Stir and cook for a few minutes until lightly browned. Sprinkle in the flour and cook, stirring, until the butter and liquid are. In a medium bowl or large measuring cup, whisk together the beef broth, water, flour, salt, pepper, Kitchen Bouquet, and Worcestershire sauce.

  1. In a lg. bowl mix together ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, salt & pepper, onion & garlic powders, and worchestershire sauce. Form into 8 balls and flatten into patties.
  2. Heat oil in a lg. non-stick skillet over medium heat. Fry patties and onions until patties are nicely browned, about 4 minutes on each side. Remove patties to a plate and keep warm.
  3. Sprinkle flour in onions and drippings. Stir in flour with a wisk scraping the bits off the bottom of pan as you stir. Gradually stir in beef broth and sherry. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer and stir over medium heat for about 5 minutes until gravy thickens. Turn heat to low, return patties to gravy, cover & simmer another 15 minutes.
  4. Done and ready to serve!

Add the mixture to the skillet with the onions and whisk constantly over medium heat, until the mixture thickens. Remove the hamburger steaks when done and finish cooking the onions. It will only take a moment or two. Gravy Add the flour to the pan drippings and whisk to combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.
