  2. Prepare 16 oz. Fresh English Peas (Steamed and Cooled)
  3. Prepare 4 Eggs (Hard Boiled, Chopped)
  4. Use 6 Slices Bacon (Cooked, Chopped)
  5. Prepare 1 Cup Cheddar or Colby Cheese (Freshly Shredded)
  6. Take 1/2 Red Onion (Sliced Thin)
  7. Use 1/2 Cup Green Onions (Sliced)
  8. Take 1/2 Cup Shredded Carrots (Optional)
  9. Prepare Dressing
  10. Take 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise (I used Duke's)
  11. Take 1/3 Cup Milk
  12. Prepare 1 Tbsp Fresh Chives (Diced)
  13. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  14. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  15. Prepare 2-4 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  16. Take 1-2 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  17. Prepare Salt (To Taste)
  18. Use Black Pepper (To Taste)

Cook the bacon, crumble and set aside. Add the peas to the dressing. Add the red or green onion, dill and bacon. Toss together the peas, eggs, red onion and celery in a medium sized bowl.

How to make English Pea Salad:
  1. In a Small Mixing Bowl, Whisk together the Mayonnaise, Milk, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Chives, Lemon Juice, Worcestershire Sauce, Salt & Pepper. Once Well Combined, Cover and Refrigerate for 20 - 30 Minutes.
  2. Prepare the English Peas & Bacon. I like to Boil my Peas for @ 6 - 8 Minutes, then Cool in Cold Water. I also Cooked my Bacon in the Oven at 400° for 15 - 25 Minutes (Depending on your Bacon) I placed the Bacon on a Parchment Lined Baking Sheet, and kept Checking it every 5 Minutes past the 15 Minute Mark. Bake until Crisp.
  3. In a Large Mixing Bowl, Add Peas, Red & Green Onions, Bacon, Cheese, and Eggs. Pour in Dressing, & Toss Well to Combine. Taste for Seasoning, & add more Salt & Pepper if Needed.
  4. Cover & Refrigerate for At Least 1 Hour or Eat Immediately if you Can't Wait. Enjoy!
  5. Done and ready to serve!

In a separate small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar and mustard. Drizzle the mayonnaise mixture over the peas, and gently stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the peas, onion, bacon and cheese. Toss, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
